The Bard's Town hosts a variety of artistic endeavors, including musicians and live bands performing original work, classical musicians, comedy, poetry readings, dance performances, live theatre shows, and more. The Bard's Town is the place to go when people in Louisville are looking for things to do.
The Bard's Town has two main performance spaces: the larger stage theatre on the 2nd floor (typically booked several months in advance), and the smaller stage lounge on the 1st floor (typically 3-piece bands or smaller, plus comedy; typically booked 1-2 months in advance).

- For 2 or 3-piece bands, we typically offer our lounge space. For larger bands, we typically offer our theatre (if available) or see if they can fit in the lounge.
- For smaller acts ($5 and under), the musician(s) provide their own door person, charge a cover, and keep 100%.
- For larger local acts in the theatre, the musician(s) provide their own door person, charge a cover, and keep 80% ($1 to the house for a $5 cover, $2 for $10, etc.)
- For larger "prime" touring acts, we provide a door person, charge typically $8-15 ticket, first $120 goes to the venue with an 80/20 split thereafter (80% to artist, 20% to venue). For other up-and-coming touring acts, we make an arrangement based on the preceding bullet points.
- Each stage comes equipped with a Yorkville M810 PA Mixer, speakers, and monitors. We also provide a limited number of mics and stands. If you require numerous mics, you should plan to bring some. We do not have a dedicated "sound person," but would be happy to show you the ropes of the system. Lighting is basic.
